That is, if they can't get 2-liters of Purple Passion

Here's the thing: Kids do not bring wine on sneak-in-while-the-'rents-are-out dates. Kids filch warm beers from the garage, or liquor carefully siphoned from various bottles in the ol' liquor cabinet -- not enough out of any single bottle to arouse suspicion, and likely as not all mixed together in one tight-lidded container that used to hold something else (not that Gleemonex would know anything about that, ohhh no). The only "wine" kids would think to swipe is Boone's (out of the trunk of older sis's car), and NOBODY calls that sickly-sweet emetic "wine." It's just "Boone's," or "Strawberry Hill." Come on now.

an entire year of my university life was "strawberry hill" themed. i wouldn't touch the stuff, but the girls in my dorm loved it ... we even had t-shirts that said "i found my thrill on strawberry hill". urgh. ;)

mmm. delish. If you want to go highbrow, add some frozen strawberries or buy some plum wine to eat with your teriyaki.

I was more of a 151 girl. However, all this reminds me of boyfriend coming over while all of our parents were at the annual school auction.

Dire straits, moonlight and puka shells.

I beg to differ. My friends and I drank many a bottle of stolen wine from ages, say 15-17. We always took them from the liquor shelf in the dining room of a family in the military. They got so many bottles as gifts, they never knew what was supposed to be in there. I bet some of it was pretty expensive, but it all takes the same when coming back up into the bushes.

one night, we did mix it with vodka to make it stronger, because my friend's older brother claimed that we should not "waste stomach space on anything that is not alcohol." haha

We called that Bum Juice. I never actually drank Boone's or MD 20/20. But I had parents that filled a case of Coke up with beer and re-hot-glued the flap and sneaked it into the dorm for me, so...
